This page demonstrates a few implementations of the HTML5 longdesc. Visually there is nothing to show the longdesc. An AT will surface the means of getting the longdesc, normally ALT+ENTER. In the first example, the description is on the same page as the image.

Wafflerama logo

This is a bunch of text I'm putting in to separate the image from the explanatory text.

It goes on for several paragraphs...

...until it has served its purpose.

This was the logo we made to mark the 30th anniversary of Wafflerama. It features a bunch of golden and brown squares that give the appearance of the grids in a waffle.

In the second example, the description is a different web page. Note that I am just linking off to the wafflerama index page here, but in a real implementation, it would take you to the page with the description.
